ETA 2893-2 caliber: dimensions and drop-in group
The published footprint of the ETA 2893-2 and which movements share it.
Used in: the GMT member of the 2892 family, base for many caller-GMT travel watches.
A 2892-A2 with an added 24-hour hand for a second time zone at 25.60 mm x 4.10 mm. The extra GMT train and hand mean it needs a GMT dial and hand set; its drop-in donor is the Sellita SW330-1.
Drop-in group: ETA 2893 / SW330 GMT footprint (25.60 mm x 4.10 mm, GMT hand). Matching diameter and height is necessary but not sufficient. A donor is only a true drop-in when the dial-foot positions, hand-hole sizes, stem length and calendar layout also match. Two movements can share a case and still need a new dial, re-broached hands or a cut-to-length stem.
