Miyota 2035 caliber: dimensions and drop-in group
The published footprint of the Miyota 2035 and which movements share it.
Used in: the most-produced Japanese quartz movement, in a vast range of fashion watches.
A tiny three-hand quartz caliber at 18.50 x 15.30 mm and 3.15 mm tall, one of the most-produced movements ever made. Its small form has nothing in common with the 11 1/2 ligne core and pairs only with same-size small quartz calibers.
Drop-in group: Miyota 2035 small-form quartz (18.50 x 15.30 mm). Matching diameter and height is necessary but not sufficient. A donor is only a true drop-in when the dial-foot positions, hand-hole sizes, stem length and calendar layout also match. Two movements can share a case and still need a new dial, re-broached hands or a cut-to-length stem.
